Berries & A Lesson in Abundance

It's real.
It's real.

This is not your typical “The Universe is Abundant” new age spiritual meme, despite all appearances.

This is a real-life capture of a contemplation from my week and I'm going to do my best to share it with you.

I walked out of my apartment and into the woods, like I do every morning with my dog. This was after I woke up before the sun, energetically attuned, prayed, and did kundalini yoga with my warm nettle and red clover tea and my totally healthy smoothie packed with protein.

The simple abundance of my mornings is not at all lost on me and I'm incredibly grateful. So Holiday (also dubbed "prosperity puppy" early on by my son) and I walked one morning this week, and as she was perfectly content and appreciative of her stick of the day, I got to pick a handful of berries.

I don’t ever pick all the ripe ones, because I have neighbors and I want them to bring their little chubby-handed children out to pick the berries. But that doesn't seem to be happening, so I helped myself to a whole handful of ripe berries to eat as we made our way down the trail.

Friggin' perfect berries.

And then I thought, “I just get to have this?!” I was flooded by receiving these beautiful berries. Surrounded by woods and Nature, this edible and gorgeous fruit just burst out of these wild plants and was made available to me! Wow.

Here's a little not-so-secret secret: I haven’t always had the easiest time receiving, but more so - and this may surprise you - I haven’t had the easiest time actually trusting Source to provide.

Source and ReSources - it’s one of things you’ll hear me talk the most about, but it’s also where I’ve had to walk a really long and personal journey.

Receiving and having abundance was never as simple for me as any spiritual meme made it sound. Things like: “The Universe is abundant. Just be grateful and watch your bounty multiply” were like 0% effective in my experience.

Also, years worth of money education, self-worth work, healing my relationship to the masculine and to God, etc etc - all these formulas for how a woman should relate to money - though helpful, were also not effective in truly healing my relationship to prosperity. Those just weren’t my path.

My path is one of Nature. And remembering that, and listening to Nature’s codes, is my way.

And money doesn’t totally fit into that, because Nature didn’t make money, did it?

So we have a construct called money that along with it came power struggles, extractive and unfair tendencies, a lot of domination, and a whole lot of suffering for some, with plenty and riches for others.

So money teachings that just new-age spiritual bypass the money and it's relationship to Nature likely won’t work for most who are truly on a path of Unification here for the New Earth. (Hi - you're my people.)

We have to use money as a tool to do Nature’s work.

But back to the berries and the woods. And the bounty.

The woods made the berries.Nature is bountiful.I get to partake in that.

And I am also Nature.

I am the woods, the trees, the dirt.

I am the blood, the dirt, the life.

I am the matter.

I am a part of Creation.

I am not something outside of this cycle or system, waiting to provided for by Source. I am actually a part of this regenerative system that is Creation.

The money system wants us to think that we're outside of the Nature system. But if we're outside of the Nature system, we're just consumers of commodities.

And I'm not just a consumer - nor are you.

And these berries aren't commodities - and neither are you.

I am the woods.

I am the hand.

And I am the berries.

(Say it with me now!)

Creation amplifies. It is naturally abundant, yes, but you and I are a part of that, not separate. And in any given moment, we can remember that we either amplify or consume,

we regenerate or we take, we operate from selfishness or we see that we are a part of the whole.

Abundance isn’t something that comes to us. It is something that we remember that we are.

Re*Sourced.

And this takes, in my experience, a lot of clearing, healing, forgiving, purifying old programs, time in Nature, and respecting money for what it is, but most importantly - making our lives more so about love and Nature itself.

So you are the hand, and you are the trees, and you are also the berries.

Can you feel it?
